About us
Our Aim
The main aim of the academy is to develop the skills of juniors, so they can excel at the game of squash.
We take children as young as 5 years old and provide them with the coaching and the knowledge which they can convert into on-court expertise. They are offered a structured and progressive coaching regime in which they learn technique and match-play tactics.
Membership of the Academy is optional, but for serious players there are many benefits to becoming a member.
Coaches
The Academy is run by two England Squash Level 3 (Advanced) licensed coaches: Martin Levens and Dennis Morley.
Prior to his return to the UK, Martin coached the Austrian National team and was a former Leicester County champion and is still active in team squash within Suffolk.
Dennis is also the coach at Debenham Squash club and coaches throughout Suffolk in his role as England Squash & Racketball Development Coach.
Trained volunteers assist with coaching of the younger groups as necessary.
Our Record
The Academy is without doubt the centre of squash excellence in Suffolk. Around 90% of the county standard juniors train here on a regular basis.
It is important that players are able to train and play with others of similar ability but also experience a wide variety of playing styles, so they are continually challenged in their thinking and game plan.
